Alice creates unique pieces of jewellery experimenting with organic textures and shapes

Alice’s love of working with metal started from a very young age, as a child she would mess around in her fathers workshop out in the cowshed at their home exploring all the different tools. This love has developed over the last 25 yrs into a career, working in the trade creating beautiful pieces of jewellery.

Alice had previously been working alongside her Father Nig Barratt in his highly regarded successful shop, Circle workshop  in Clifton Village, Bristol. Here she learnt her skills and enthusiasm from him.

Alice is currently creating her jewellery in a workshop in Somerset, inspired by shapes and patterns found in the natural environment around her and also from her many travels around the world. Another love of hers is exploring other cultures, arts, environments and foods from different countries which has taken her on many adventures and has influenced her designs.

She loves to work the metal to explore its own qualities and often creates very tactile pieces that need to be held to appreciate their true beauty. Alice has an extensive range of ideas reflecting the many influences she’s had from around the world.

Along side producing her own ranges she also works on commissions from simple pendants and personalised cufflinks to unique wedding and engagement rings. She loves the challenge of working on new ideas and trying to create a unique piece, influenced by the ideas and personality of the customer.

She would love for you to bring her any new ideas you have, together you and alice can come up with some original personal gifts for loved ones or a treat for yourself. Please give Alice a call to chat about any ideas or alternatively send her an email
